There were some cases in the past wherein some employees would have problems regarding their work. Hence, there was an order for 2011 state and Federal labor law poster. This is for compliance purposes since it is now required by the US department of labor and local state DOL. All companies, industries or factories would need to display an all federal law posting. Through the use of the postings, employees would not be able to be lost when it comes to state laws and other compliances. The mandate was required for all employers with at least 3 or more employees which are under their payroll. If there would be more than 3 employees inside the office, then the employer would already need to display a mandatory state and federal posting.

The main purpose of labor law posters is for guideline purposes. It is used by employers and employees alike as a form of guideline mandated by the United States government in order for employers to know the changes in law as well the imperative rules which should be followed according to state regulations. When you check on California labor law posters, the poster would be divided according to sections. The first section would cover payday notices based on how employees would be paid according to type of occupation. Usually, rigorous jobs such as industrial repairs would earn a very significant amount. Another section would be about state disabilities for those who would again be working in rigorous jobs. For instance, if there would be a life and death situation within the workplace then the amount for insurance would be covered in the poster. In the case of access of medical and exposure records, such records would again be on a different section. The medical exposure records would be used to check on the whereabouts of the employees and their past cases if they would experience any injuries at work.


There would also be a discrimination notice if there would be any discriminatory offenses inside the workplace as well as important notices such as no smoking, whistling or the consumption of intoxicating medications of liquids. For hard hat occupations, there would usually be Safety Posters in order to ensure that there would be lesser problems inside the workplace. Such posters would be placed near areas of prohibition or certain areas inside the office where employees would be able to spot it with ease.
