Due to the increasing problems in the work office, the national government now requires employees to have their own
labor law posters. These posters are used as guidelines in order to protect labor laws and it also serves as the list for the rights of each employee. Each labor poster corresponds to a certain law that is passed by the federal government. There are several sections which are divided within each labor poster. These sections are divided according to the different concerns of the state and of the whole country. The sections are divided according to IRS deficits, insurances, health concerns, general safety of each individual, unemployment insurances and other forms of benefits. However, labor and federal posters are not only intended for employees but also for employers. These posters are intended to be as a guideline for employees who would abuse their rights when it comes to work.
Due to the difference in state and federal laws, there are actually several types of posters which are required by the government. The most common one would be the
safety poster which is generally needed for the safety and wellbeing of each and every employee. A safety based poster is intended to ensure the security of employees but it is quite different from labor posters because this type of poster serves as general guidelines for safety inside the workplace. A good example would be inside a chemical company. Most chemicals are flammable and toxic. Hence, safety based posters would be used as a form of warning for employees who would be exposed to the chemicals. The poster would show signs of no smoking as well as the use of safety equipment such as gas masks inside the workplace. Employees without the safety equipment would not be allowed to enter the company production area.
In terms of employee rights, the
Federal labor law posters would be function as the guidelines. Yes, safety based posters would be guidelines for health but federal guidelines would insist employees to acquire safety equipment for their employees. Chemical companies who would have more than 3 employees would need to comply with all the requirements imposed by the federal government. Such companies would need to acquire gas masks, safety clothes and some flame redundant equipment in order for employees to be always safe. Without the equipment, they are not allowed to operate and they would be penalized by the law.
